Staff Rishi D. Ramkissoon, MD BPHE, Dip MT, RMT, Dip SIM, CAT(C), DOMP Rishi is a clinician with a drive to educate and empower those in his care. He works with people in multiple acute and chronic care areas that include infants to octogenarians and athletes from the high school to Olympic levels. His curiosity regarding healthcare and performance has been bolstered by his study habits, as he has completed programs in Massage Therapy, Athletic Therapy, Acupuncture, Osteopathy and most recently in Medicine. His thesis at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, entitled "A Qualitative Comparison of the Past and Present Non-Medical Management of Mental Illness" was successfully presented to The International Jury in November of 2011. During his Medical training at the American University of Integrative Sciences, he served as President of the Integrative Medicine Club and completed additional certifications in Hyperbaric Medicine which included Diving and Marine Emergency Medic training. He has lived and practiced in Markham since 2006 and strives to use a Neuro-Functional, Integrative Medicine approach to facilitate treatment outcomes. Francine Reid Francine Reid is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 1996. Over the years she has taken courses in CranioSacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Integration & Structural Alignment (NISA) Visceral Manipulation, Breast Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Reiki and other workshops. She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario. She is currently enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is integrating her developing skills. She is a student member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. She practices massage therapy with an osteopathic approach, using osteopathic techniques that fall within the scope of practice of massage therapy, in combination with traditional massage therapy techniques. She has a holistic approach to treatment and takes time to understand the needs and goals of each patient, taking into account how their occupation, recreation, stressors, injuries and illnesses may affect each person's state of health. The goal of each treatment is to promote balance and vitality so each individual can function in their activities of daily living
